Ammonia Gas

Ammonia (NH₃) detectors for cold storage facilities, food factories, and industrial refrigeration, integrated into the Firebee panel.

Overview

Firebee integrates ammonia gas detectors to its central unit through a repeater with gas sensor and dry contact/relay, allowing third-party detectors, ventilation, exhaust, and area isolation to be supervised and activated by the Firebee central unit.

Ammonia Gas Detectors are crucial devices in industrial environments where ammonia usage is common, such as cold storage facilities, food factories, and industrial refrigeration systems. Ammonia is a toxic and corrosive gas that, at elevated concentrations, can be extremely dangerous to human health, causing serious respiratory problems and even asphyxiation. For this reason, ammonia gas detectors are designed to continuously monitor the environment, quickly identifying any leaks or abnormal concentrations of the gas.

These detectors use advanced sensors to identify the presence of ammonia in the air and send immediate alerts to the safety alarm system, enabling corrective measures to be taken quickly, such as evacuating the area or activating ventilation systems. Early detection is essential to prevent accidents, especially in locations where the gas is used on a large scale and exposure can pose serious risks to worker health and the environment.

Beyond their monitoring function, many Ammonia Gas Detectors are integrated with industrial automation systems, enabling automatic actions to be taken in case of a leak, such as shutting down machinery or isolating affected areas. These devices are essential for ensuring operational safety and preventing serious accidents in environments where ammonia is used, protecting both people and company assets.
